Poor old Big Ears has had an accident. His bicycle is smashed to pieces and he has hurt his head. So Noddy takes him home to look after him. Dr. Bear's instructions are that Big Ears must not worry, but he is worried about his house, his cat, and his bicycle. Noddy solves the first two worries but he has no money for a new bicycle. So he sets out to earn some. He sells a song to Mr. Tubby Bear and helps Mr. Wobblyman with his planting. A message sends him to collect six sacks from Ahoy Cottage and deliver them to Red Goblin Corner. Later that night Sailor

Sam accuses Noddy of stealing his carrots, swedes, and turnips in the six sacks, saying he left no such message, and Mr. Plod makes Noddy give Sailor Sam all the money he has so far earned, leaving him with no money for Big Ears' bicycle. But Noddy now knows there is mischief afoot and returns to Red Goblin Corner. There he catches Gobbo the Goblin who confesses to the trick but promises to conjure up a new bicycle if Noddy will let him go. Noddy agrees, so Gobbo casts a spell and lo and behold a shiny new bicycle appears much to everyone's delight.
