It all begins on Christmas Eve as the GLO FRIENDS, a collection of engaging little creatures who give off a friendly glo, are preparing for Christmas Eve in Gloland. But far away on the North Pole, trouble is brewing as Blanch stirs up an evil plot to stop Santa Claus from delivering his sleigh full of goodies.

Using her Icicle Wand to create snowstorms, hailstorms and rainstorms, Blanch vainly tries to stop Santa's journey. In desperation, she casts her spell on the forest below. Trees reach up like giant fingers, plucking Santa and his reindeer out of the sky, imprisoning them in a cage of icicles.

The GLO FRIENDS race to the rescue, organizing a search party to find and rescue Santa Claus. A series of exciting hair-raising adventures ensue as the GLO FRIENDS rise to the challenge posed by Blanch and her magic Icicile Wand. Eventually, they devise an ingenious scheme to free Santa, a happy holiday is had by all.

This exciting adventure is accompanied by two other enchanting GLO FRIENDS stories-BABY GLO-WORM GOES BYE BYE. When the GLO FRIENDS sing a lullaby to put baby GLO-WORM to sleep, they end up dozing off themselves...and baby GLO-WORM crawls out of her crib and goes exploring...and FRONT PAGE. When CAPPY, DOODLEBUG and COUNTRY MOUSE go in search of a story for the GLO-LAND TIMES they are captured by the Mulligans...Rescue comes in the shape of ROOK who not only frees them but gives them the front page scoop they were after.
