Quadrophenia, the most exciting youth cult film since 'Rebel Without A Cause' This is London in the 1960's. Two rival youth cults emerge - The Mods and The Rockers with explosive consequences.

Quadrophenia is about Jimmy, (Phil Daniels) to whom being a Mod is a 'way of life', it's his generation. He has the uniform: Parka, Levi's, sharp haircut and scooter. He lives the life of a Mod riding around London popping pills, going down the Mod clubs, taking in the new Rock N Roll and cruising for girls.

Conflict rules in Jimmy's life not only with the Rockers but also with his working class parents (Michael Elphick and Kate Williams) who can't understand his Mod way of life. The aggressive climax of Jimmy's life occurs during a violent Bank Holiday confrontation between the warring Mods and Rockers amongst the holiday makers on Brighton Beaches.

Will Jimmy emerge a hero or will he be disillusioned by his way of life?
