This complete concert video presents Deep Purple in their natural element-on stage in in front of an enthusiastic crowd Filmed at the Tivoli Koncertsal Copenhagen, Denmark, on March 1st, 1972, the band at the time comprised Ritchie Blackmore on guitar, lan Gillan, lead vocalist (accept no substitute), Roger Glover on bass, Jon Lord keyboards and lan Paice on the drums This, the band's second and best loved line-up had become, with the release of the Deep Purple in Rock and Firebull albums, one of Britain's premier hard rock outfits.

In March 1972. Deep Purple had just finished work on the Machine Head album, which was to take them to the top of the album charts across the world.

This show contains three songs from that LP, together with half a dozen classics from their earlier stage act.

While the complete lack of on stage effects and gimmicks might surprise younger rock fans weaned on spinal tap theatrics, the material, musicianship and performance levels out through the years, and remain as exciting to watch today as it was when this concert took place.

Whilst several live albums exist of Deep Purple Mk 2, this is the first live video of the band to be released Recorded by Danish TV but never screened, it would seem to be the only Mik 2 concert ever filmed in its entirety
