Is Paul Foster guilty of espionage against SHADO? The jury at his court martial think that he Is and the evidence against him Is convincing. There is a high level leak at SHADO HQ and Colonel Foster has an unexplained ten thousand dollars in his bank account. But who would want to frame Foster and why? Whatever the answer he must run for his life and the order is out to shoot on sight. Ed Straker and Alec Freeman face a desperate race against time to prove their colleague innocent.

When two astronauts disappear Ina lunar module for sixteen hours after a UFO attack, a deadly threat is posed to Ed Straker from within SHADO Itself. The men have been brainwashed with only one aim in mind, kill Straker - and one of them is Straker's most trusted ally. Colonel Paul Foster. The stage Is set for a deadly moonbase showdown and Straker is left with a worrying puzzle. Even If Foster can be de-programmed can he ever really be trusted again? The solution could end Paul Fosters career permanently, and no one is allowed to walk away from SHADO!
