It's the 1990's but halfway down an alleyway, television repairman, Gary, finds himself in 1940 where people are behaving so realistically that it must be a fantastic dream...until an air raid proves that it isn't!

Temporarily forgetting Yvonne, his ambitious and bossy wife of the 90's, Gary finds a dream of his own in the form of the beautiful, but also marrieed Phoebe. Eager to keep the dream alive, he fortunately discovers that he can go back and forth between the 1940's and 1990's at will.

Gary invests in some period clothes to make his next visit more convincing.

Gary and Phoebe spend the night together in an underground shelter, meanwhile Yvonne is worried, why isn't Gary home?

Gary's struggling to keep up his double life and is torn between his feelings for Phoebe and Yvonne.
