Rupert Bear is busy writing his leeter to Father Christmas, but something is not right. The ground is hard and dry... there should be snow! Everyone says so, even the brarometer, and the barometer is never wrong (according to Rupert's dad).

So What hs gone wrong? Rupert, with a little help from the Executive Assitant to the Clerk of the Weather, starts to investigate. And where would you start to look for snow? At the North Pole!

That naughty Billy Blizzard has taken over the North Pole and frozen everything - including King Frost and his palace where all the snowmen play during the summer. Billy Blizzard has even frozen Father Christmas. It's up to Rupert, his friend Rika and a very timid snowman to sort things out.

Rupert sets off to spend the weekend with his friend Bill Badger,. Along the way he takes a shortcut through Nutwood Court - a large, empty mansion. But new owners have moved in and they are less than friendly - a mystery is about to unfold...
