Rupert meets a kindly old man who gives him a gift for his friend Tigerlily. Unfortunately, the gift turns out to be an evil spell which sends Tigerlily to sleep.

In the hope of finding a cure for the spell, Rupert borrows a flying machine and flies to the Bird Kingdom. Things become very difficult when Rupert is arrested, by the King Bird, for the illegal use of a flying machine!

The wicked Billy Blizzard has taken over the North Pole and frozen everything - including King Frost and his palace where all the snowmen play during the summer. Billy Blizzard has even frozen Santa Claus! It's up to Rupert, his friend Rika and a VERY timid snowman to sort things out.

Rupert sets off to spend the weekend with his friend Bill Badger. Along the way he takes a shortcut through Nutwood Court - a large, empty, old mansion. But new owners have moved in and they are less than friendly as Rupert soon discovers. More worrying is the strange wailing coming from the cellar, and who are the two mysterious oriental strangers watching the house? Rupert and Bill will have to investigate.
